Goa's Geographical Indication (GI) portfolio now boasts 15 unique local products, with five new agricultural items securing tags. These include two mango varieties, Taleigao brinjal, cashew apple, and Korgut rice. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant highlighted how these GI tags protect indigenous crops, empower farmers, and strengthen Goa's self-reliance.
