The Bombay High Court has nullified money laundering proceedings against former Goa Chief Ministers Digambar Kamat and Churchill Alemao. The court ruled that the Enforcement Directorate failed to secure mandatory prior sanction from the government to prosecute the public functionaries. This decision quashes the special court's cognizance of the offense and subsequent summons issued to the accused.
